The Following Plug-in has Crashed: Shockwave Flash

This FAQ Article, as well as the subsequent Technical Support article are helpful for users who experience one or more of the following issues:

  • You are using Chrome browser and the game (and all tabs with Flash elements) have stopped responding, giving you an error message:

The Following Plug-in has Crashed: Shockwave Flash

This is an issue that is not related to the game, but is related to the way Flash is packaged with Chrome, creating 2 instances of Flash running as plug-ins on the browser.

Visit this link for information on disabling one of the redundant plug-ins: http://www.howtogeek.com/103292/how-to-fix-shockwave-flash-crashes-in-google-chrome/

Unable to expand/unlock areas of the Forest Escape

We are aware of, and working to resolve, an issue affecting users who are attempting to expand their Forest Escape.

Please note: There is no reason to contact Customer Support about this issue. We appreciate your patience. When the resolution is implemented, all of the affected members will be able to finish the quest and expand their Forest Escape as intended.

PARTIAL RESOLUTION: The affected players who were unable to unlock their Forest Escape area in order to complete the quest “Rue’s Song” are now able to complete the quest and continue with the game progression as intended. This issue was separate from the other area’s in the Forest Escape.

Some accounts playable, some not, from same computer

There is a known issue affecting a very small portion of our users. They may experience an issue similar to the one outlined below:

  • They cannot log into the game. The game loading screen “hangs” around 75%
  • A friend or family member logs into Facebook on the same computer and can get in game successfully.

This issue is almost always caused by “blank” Facebook account settings. FOR EXAMPLE: If you have your gender on Facebook set to neutral (neither male nor female) the game will prevent you from logging in.

To fix this issue, review your Facebook account settings and ensure that your account options are not blank. (While you don’t need to make this changed information visible on your profile, it still must be set)

Mockingjay Pins

After completing a chapter in The Hunger Games Adventures you receive a Mockingjay Pin as a reward. These pins are used to expand your Forest Escape.

————————————-

RESOLVED: After the game was changed to a “Chapter” system, there were several users that did not receive the appropriate number of Mockingjay Pins after this update. The Gamemakers are aware of that issue and working to find a resolution. Once the issue is resolved, the affected members’ inventories will adjust automatically. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our players.

The Hunger Games Adventures - Basic Features Tutorial

Here are some basic tips to make sure your first experience in The Hunger Games Adventures is a positive one!

  1. To move around, click on the ground where you’d like to walk
  2. To see what is going on around the game screen, or to see all the options in a zone, you can click and drag your mouse and it will show you more of the area
  3. To interact with someone in the game you may click them, it will also tell you if you have to interact with them more than once for a quest step by putting your mouse over the person/object
  4. To pick up an object that dropped from a quest you simply run your mouse cursor over the object
  5. To open a quest and see what is being asked of you, you may click the quest icon along the left side of the screen, it will break down each step in detail and show you where your next step can be completed

“Back to World” & Panem Map

The “Back to World” & “Panem Map” are functions found on the bottom right of your game. The “Back to World” function works while in your Forest Escape, it allows you to return to the last zone that you were in before teleporting to your Forest Escape. The entire map of Panem (the first official map of it’s kind!) will be released in The Hunger Games Adventures soon!

We’re aware that some users are unable to click the “Back to World” button after they’ve completed each of the available quests and reached “end-game” (you may notice this if you’re a high level and the game is not providing you with additional quests to complete).

Maximum Level, Experience (XP) and/or End of Chapters

Once you reach the current “Level Cap” or max level/max experience (xp) in game, you may notice that your XP Bar and Level stop rising. This is functioning as intended.

The game does continue to track your XP even after you reach the max level, so don’t stop questing or normal gameplay for fear of losing your progress. Once the Level Cap is raised you will “hop” up to where you should be!

The current max level/xp as of July 22, 2012

Please note - You may reach the end of the available quests before reaching maximum level. This allows you room to gain more experience (XP) when you are “harvesting” for crafting and other activities.

When you reach the end of the available quests, you will notice that there is no quest icon along the left side of your screen. This is not an issue, this is normal game-play. You have reached the end of the most current chapter. Please stay tuned to our Facebook page and/or this site for announcements about new features and content!

Beta Invitation Link “Expired”

In late March & early April of 2012 many of the fans of The Hunger Games series were sent special invitation emails containing a link that allowed them to access the game early. If a fan clicks the link they received today they will receive a message that the code is no longer valid or expired.

All fans of The Hunger Games & The Hunger Games Adventures are welcome to join without an access code or link. Please check out the Facebook page!
